On FB this morning a question was asked… Which alien race in the Star Trek universe would you like to be?
It took me all but a minute to come up with a Vulcan-Bajoran. I mean, Vulcans can’t just have the hots for humans. Think about it!!!!

Oh, you know the other day I just wanted…NEEDED a milkshake. I decided to go to Wendy’s (I can’t get sued for this can I?) and received the BEST chocolate shake I have had in a looooong time! It was the best thing i have had in my mouth in DECADES It was also the most expensive chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had. As good as it was, and I do mean it was good. It was I want a cigarette after having it good! I will have to save that for treat/cheat day. I could become addicted.

He proceeds to read the advert, I doze off, I hear a “are you there?” and I answer (I really did doze off or became distracted by something bright and shiny.)
That’s your problem…the advert is too long. This isn’t match.com or eharmony. Your goal is to get laid, yes? Well say what you want and this longs walks and favourite book “The Bible.” is shyte! Say what you want…. Well, we (I) trimmed the fat from the advert and made it say what he wanted. Well, let’s just say, he is as happy as a queer in Babylon (LOL, I’m having QAF flashbacks)

My forgetfulness

Ok, today I had the biggest freak out moment. The cause, (see above image). You see, I left the house without it.

Over the holidays, my niece and I often joked about how we had iPhone in our blood. She, her mom and I joked about how we wake in the middle of the night, just to touch it.

fast forward
“I need to phone Donna about…”
“ahhh, the light is striking that trolley….”
“what was the name of that song?”
“I could Google that.”
“I need that app.”
“Crap, did I reply to that e-mail?”
“Send a text message.”
“Check for e-mail”

So, now I’m at my destination. And I have no music to do my laps.

There were 100s of little things that I do using that little hand held device and I do not have it.

And for 30 minutes….I WAS LOST.

One can NEVER be ready…

Wow, last year this time I was in Atlanta, nursing my mom back to health. After a year (mas o menos), I left her, a person size lighter and in a better position health-wise than I found her. Soon, I will return to Atlanta to bury her. Which is just odd to me as we were laughing and goofing off together on Monday.

Now, what’s even odder is that unless things happen differently, there are “steps” to this expiration.

Remove her from the ventilator is the first step.

So, well see where that leads us.

We just need to listen

Whilst walking from the Market yesterday, I had another BOOYAKITTY moment.

Those of us under, who have fewer than 60 (I was going to say 50 but decided that for me that is only a few years away…:-/) years under our belts think we know it all. We may have a few degrees, certifications and academic and or professional accolades. So when someone, less educated, less worldly offers advice, many times we tend to ignore then. “They just don’t understand. They have no idea what I’m talking about. What do they know; they’re ancient?”

Well guess what. Life has been their university. Rearing a family, their internship. They know more that we could ever learn from any book, lecture, quote.

If an oldster offers you some advice. LISTEN!

If an oldster suggests that you take another course of action-LISTEN!

Re: a video rant

that may have been a bit harsh, but its how I feel. I have work..pulling/demanding I have friends… pulling/demanding a mate … pulling/demanding family … pulling/demanding how far can one be pulled until … SNAP? There are times when I think that I am THAT close to just saying F%CK all of this and …. (oh my) just fall off the face of the planet.

Oh, I hate the fact that I have to censor myself, to protect the feelings of others. When will my feelings be protected? I do have them ya know. (a few at least) When do I get “my time?” Am I entitled to “my time?” If only….. Wilson Phillips had this song in the 80s…used to be my theme song then…
