“Jesus the philosopher” – a micro view
watched this video and was (as usual) left with questions. But most of all I recalled a movie, from the olden days where those “parables” were dismissed by “the church” and just like then I wondered why. I believe the answer is clear. I believe that these teachings were frowned upon because they “remove” the need for the church- the “controlling” force behind most governments and many “regular joes”.
To touch this with a pin, if we accept that divinity is w/in us, the need for external religious validation vanishes and those who depend on parishioners will have to find (and they will) another way to “control” the masses.
This calls for additional consideration.
