Thich Nhat Hanh:

“Mindfulness helps you to touch the wonders of life for self-nourishment and healing.”

A few of my favourite apps

This is going to be one of my most ambitious blogging attempts EVER. I shall endeavour to list (the easy part) and briefly describe the features (which should be easy too; as all I am going to do is C&P) of a few of my favourite iPhone/iPad apps. Cross your fingers. Ready, let’s go!

Keep in mind that these apps are in no particular order.

Kabaam – Users can create personalized comics using images from their own photo albums.

Photogene2 – The power that comes with Photogene 2 is astounding. There are many, many options, from modifying brightness, exposure, contrast and other attributes to make photos look clearer or in a certain style. Frames and Instagram-esque filters can also be applied, with the ability to take photos with live filtering roses what they’ll look like as the photo is taken. I was quite concerned about what a new app would bring, having bought versions of Photogene for iPhone and iPad, but Photogene for iPhone owners get one of the 3 in-app purchases for free, including the $6 Pro add-on, which adds advanced retouching features and image property editing that aren’t necessary for most users, but are a very nice add-on to have. There are a ton of sharing options, with built-in Twitter image sharing support, Facebook, Flickr, FTP, and Dropbox uploading.

procreate – Procreate might just be the most exciting digital painting app on a
mobile device. We ’ve taken desktop performance, added professional features, built an amazing brush engine and squeezed it all into your iPad. Whether you’re madly sketching concepts or
crafting a detailed illustration, Procreate has everything you need.

Harmonious – Harmonious is a “smart sketchpad” application for both the iPhone and iPad. It uses procedural drawing techniques to transform your simple strokes into more complex “works of art.” But while it’s possible to create a masterpiece doodle in Harmonious, don’t expect it to be easy.

Omnisketch – Instead of standard brushes and pencils, OmniSketch’s brushes use mathematical algorithms to draw patterns which interact with previously drawn lines to produce a cool sketch with detailed effects.

iWatermark – iWatermark is an essential tool for anyone with a digital camera, professionals and beginners or graphic artist. Digitally sign your work/photos/graphic/artwork with iWatermark and claim and maintain the recognition you deserve.

Camera+ – Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or someone who’s barely touched a camera, Camera+ will make you love taking photos. Everybody has a creative side… Camera+ will help bring that creativity out in you, all with a fun, innovative and beautiful design.

And a place to store these creations…

Photo Folder – Organize your photo and video through the real complete folder management application named Photo+Folder HD for iPad (Transfer & Secret). Users are able to safely & conveniently manage hundreds of photos/videos by storing them in their iPad within different folders which are suitable for particular subjects. It gives you strong safety function by setting the ‘Lock’ for the password; ‘Transfer & Backup Mode’ and the passwords by folders. Protect your privacy perfectly by hiding only secret folder with ghost password. This app permits user to write and edit memo on each & every photo & video.

I have more, but switching screens is becoming a pain. But look for…
Mobile Monet
Slow Shutter
Auryn Ink
PhotoLabel (free)

Oh, a heads up. Many of these are free apps. There are a few exceptions. I usually tell people that if I paid for it, it must be a BOOYAKITTY app. (in my opinion at least)

Well, I think I am going to have some leftover Christmas dinner for first meal. 🙂

Number Two…

Ok, something to lighten the mood…

When deciding what category to place a blog, I’ve discovered that I have an extensive list. So, this blog is actually the category links. That might prove interesting. Tell me what you think.

I’ve just listed A and B ….I’m going to string you along….tease ya a bit!

Ciao ciao!

I think of you….the Minnow and the Trout… A Fine Frenzy

Allison Sudol is A Fine Frenzy.

Lyrics: I think of you

it’s one hundred and nine degrees
in this crowded room,
no room to breathe
with walls as cold as a gallery
this is no place for me

such hard faces set in smoke,
the smell lingers in my clothes,
it’s a bad night to be alone
but that’s the way it goes,

and I think of you,
whenever life gets me down
I think of you
whenever you’re not around
you rest your bones
somewhere far from my own,
yeah but you still pull me home

I thought I had it figured out
in a brand new life
with a great big house
and green initials on the towels
I should be happy now

well, you’ve got yourself a family
and you planted roots down by the sea
I saw you once on the street,
you didn’t notice me

but I think of you,
whenever life gets me down
I think of you
whenever you’re not around
you rest your bones
somewhere far from my own,
yeah but you still pull me home

just to put your mind at ease
you don’t owe me anything
you paid me well in memories…

and I think of you,
whenever life gets me down
I think of you
whenever you’re not around
you rest your bones
somewhere far from my own,
yeah but you still pull me home
you still pull me home
you still pull me home

and to end this session….

ciao ciao!

What do you have in that thing?

I am talking about my messenger sack.  If you don’t know this about me. I HATE LOADED POCKETS! So, I need something to carry my stuff (since I can’t afford to have “people” carry my things for me.) So let’s take a look inside shall we?

That’s the bag; small, a lot of NECESSARY pockets.  Now for the contents…

A pack of Marlboro Lights 100s, Colgate Wisps, my journal, a small flashdrive, Altoids, in the baggie - wet wipes, hand sanitiser, and of course my RCA Small Wonder cam

That’s it.  Of course, I don’t keep my wallet, mobile or keys in it for fear of theft.

Humm, I think I’ll play myself out… A wee bit of A Fine Frenzy

Have I mentioned that I LOVE A Fine Frenzy?

Buona giornata,

Mi sento un po ‘italiano di oggi. In addition, a bit out of sorts, and when that happens, I turn to musica. I find that I can escape the il caos della mia mente e solo galleggiante di distanza.

I am thinking about stepping away from the mondo elettronico bot un po ‘. Refocus, refine or perhaps redefine my ragion d’essere. (in in the “why are we here” question).

I say that. Yet, I am drawn back to the net…to the web di pensiero e di un’idea.

We shall speak again anon!

Have a grande giorno e renderla produttiva uno!
