Wow, it’s almost the end…

Ok, one way to make up for lost blogging days….post your “drafts.”
Yeah, I think I’ve posted four or five blogs left on or is it “in” “draft” status. Of course, I believe that most of the were combined in another blog, but as I said in one, “oh well.”

I’m just pleased “TO BE.”.

Now off to read some statistical analyses. Type to you next year. 👽👽👽👽😜

Amici, I have a few. Amici, making some new

And I do not know why it shouldn’t make sense. Sometime yesterday I was thinking about friendship. I PRAY THEE, read the entire piece (I say that to those other than the two or three regular readers). It’s odd that I was thinking about friendship whilst having a somewhat heated – nay- impassioned (same bloody thing Drew) discussion with my mother from her 1st marriage (don’t, you’ll get confused). Well suffice it to say, I said a few things that touched a nerve and vice versa. We went at it for a few minutes, enough for me to scarf-down six of her fab-u-lous crab cakes.

(Friendship Drew….get to the point)

Ok, after the exchange, we sat across from each other and just looked for a moment. “I see what you are saying,” she said,” but I just don’t know.”
“I know what you mean and believe it or not I know how you feel,” I said.

BOYAKITTY contrasting views yet acceptance of those points. Ok, this isn’t quite where I want to right now. Let’s take another stab at this.

I have always been a person with a set number of “friends.” I am not talking about “people I know” I am talking about true blue, here is my last dime, come live in my house FRIENDS. So I am thinking, of course Jay and Donna; Michelle, my oldest and dearest friend and my best friend David.

Now, I am making (does on make, no one) am acquiring a new set of friends (I think, or are they already friends by nature of their proximity to my current core?). Admittedly, it’s difficult. I’ve become so accustomed to those core individuals that I didn’t really need any one else.

Oh shyte! I am finished.

I am shucking this to the cob…

True friendship consists not in the multitude of friends, but in their worth and value. – Ben Jonson

Of course, this does not include my online friendships.

Oh mio. Ho mal di testa ora.

Not quite the “proper” definition of insanity, however, it will work.

Public transpo: reflections on a thought. Not a spoke, not a strand, perhaps a single strand

Last night several thoughts ran through my head. I thought to write then down, but laziness prevented me from getting out of bed.

So here we go. Just blurbs, if I “can” elaborate, I shall.

Genetic memory, have you ever heard of that?

the weekend came and went, other than spending more or less than six hrs puking and writhing on the floor on Friday and being out of it for the remained of the weekend, I had a good weekend. Monday was a repeat performance, but let’s throw in the fact that my building had no water for, hummmm, at least four or five hrs. (the city utility “professionals” not only broke the water line to my building, but they also severed the Cox Communications line).

Today is Tuesday. On the bus headed to work.

had a dream that my UK guru, David and I took a whirlwind trip around the globe, capturing images that struck us as interesting. The pair of them got along famously, in fact, in the dream I was kinda bothered by the instant bond. More about this later.

Recycle that mobile! (Thanks David!)

this is NOT an advert or a promotion of one company over another, just an FYI!

Sprint Nextel Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday they will sell a $49.99 “eco-conscious” phone with a casing of biodegradable plastic made partly from corn.

Several manufacturers have made “green” phones, but they have generally been bare-bones devices, like Motorola Inc.’s Renew, carried by T-Mobile USA. Nokia Corp.’s Evolve is also a simple, low-end phone and lacks the backing of a U.S. carrier.

The new Samsung Reclaim is a more fully featured phone, sporting a slide-out alphabetic keyboard, e-mail and Web access, a camera and GPS navigation. The phone goes on sale Aug. 16.

The plastic of the casing is 40 percent corn-based. The phone’s charger lights up when the phone is fully charged, to remind the owner to unplug it to save electricity.

David Owens, Sprint Nextel Corp.’s director of product marketing, said the company is paying more than the usual amount of subsidies to Samsung to bring the price down to $49.99 for customers signing two-year contracts.

“We took a big step to put it under the $50 price because that’s where we know there’s a lot of volume,” he said.

The price applies after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The sun came out this weekend…yet…

1st: Let’s talk about Dave’s Bar-B-Que spare ribs… YUM-EEEE!!!
This was his first time at bat with this recipe, and MAN-O-MAN did he knock the ball out of the park ! Did I say YUM-EEEEE? I do not usually eat anything that I have to pick up with my hands (I eat pizza, for the most part, with a fork — go figure!)

The weekend was a pleasant one..despite all of the rigmarole. Had a good time. The weather was nice…too hot for my shadow bred system, but it gave us a chance to get out and about for a few. Also watched a few good movies (other than the Mists of Avalon and Felon, I do not remember the names of the others.)

So, my belly was filled with good food, the mind was entertained, and good conversation plus a bit of exercise..again made for a good weekend!

Now, let’s see if she’ll visit today? I have quite a few ideas still knocking around. Some vlogs to which I need respond.

OMGoodness, tonight is the season finale of HEROES.

Type to ya later.

Friends, Romans and countryfolk…today is a better day

David, this one is for you!

The weekend was a good one. No yelling, crazed, frantic attempts to escape. Just relative calmness and a stress-free (external stress) weekend. Spent the weekend with my bud! You know, I think we all have a few “core” friends. Those are the friends who stick with you NO MATTER what! Dave, is one such friend. When I get this way, I am mean, disjointed and just not a pleasant person; and instead of turning away or staying away until calmness returns, he continues to try to make things better. I have been the worst friend ever, and he sticks with me. “I am not used to hearing you talk this way.” You are the positive one. Yeah, but not today!

To make a long story short…I can always expect a call throughout the day…”just to check on ya.” I can always expect an invite over to his house for home cooking, good conversation and the company of others. I can always count on a different perspective. So David, thanks – although I don’t act like it all of the time, I DO LISTEN and I DO APPRECIATE.

I am reminded of something E.B. White said…..

“You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what’s a life, anyway? We’re born, we live a little while, we die. A spider’s life can’t help being something of a mess, with all this trapping and eating flies. By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone’s life can stand a little of that.” ~ Charlotte, “Charlotte’s Web”

Did I mention that I tried roasted beets for the first time? YUMM-ME

Oh, Did I also mention that he dropped by yesterday? That made my day!

Thanks David! Now get out there and do the right thing!

Peace and long life and remember…

There is no end. There is no beginning.

There is only the infinite passion of life.

~ Federico Fellini
